I’m more than 35 miles away. Can you still collect?

Collection and delivery may still be available depending on your location and requirements.

Contact our team to discuss your propshaft repair or replacement and get a quote for collection and delivery outside our free service area.

What does AP Titan do?

Specialist propshaft repairs and universal joint replacement from our workshop in Boston, Lincolnshire. We also replace universal joints in HGV and commercial vehicle steering shafts, and repair PTO shafts and driveline components for agricultural, plant and specialist machinery.

Do you carry out general servicing or mechanical repairs?

No. Our workshop works on propshafts and driveline components only.

What vehicles and machinery do you work on?

Cars, vans, light commercials, HGVs and commercial vehicles, agricultural, plant and off-road machinery, marine applications, and American and imported vehicles.

Not every propshaft comes from a catalogue, so if yours isn’t listed or is out of the ordinary, speak to Darren and the team.

Who do you work with?

Motorists, garages, dealerships, trade customers, commercial vehicle operators, farmers, agricultural contractors and plant operators.

Does a damaged propshaft need replacing?

Not always. Worn or damaged components can often be repaired rather than replacing the whole assembly. The first step is identifying what has actually failed.

If the shaft is beyond repair, speak to us about a new or replacement unit.

What are the signs a propshaft needs attention?

Vibration, unwanted movement or unusual noises are usually the first signs. A worn universal joint shows up as noise, vibration or movement in the driveline.

What does a propshaft repair cover?

A repair can include replacing worn universal joints, assessing worn or seized splines and yokes, balancing a shaft that doesn’t run true, and shortening or lengthening a shaft where conversions, engine and gearbox changes or specialist builds have altered the length it needs to be.

Do you repair HGV steering shafts?

We replace the universal joints within HGV and commercial vehicle steering shafts. We do not repair or rebuild the shaft assembly itself.

Why replace the joints rather than the whole steering shaft?

Replacement steering shafts are often only available as a complete assembly, which can be expensive. Where the joints are the worn part, replacing them costs considerably less than a complete steering shaft.

Do you work on boats?

Yes. Our experience includes fishing boats, river craft, amphibious vehicles and other unusual marine applications.

Can you help with an American or imported vehicle?

Yes, including classic cars, pickups, performance vehicles, and imported and modified vehicles. Where the existing shaft can be saved, repairing it avoids sourcing a complete replacement from overseas.

I’m not sure what has failed. What should I do?

Tell us about the vehicle and the problem and we can point you in the right direction.

For agricultural and plant machinery, you can bring the part in or call the team and we will identify it.

Where are you based?

Customers come to us from across Lincolnshire and further afield.
